You may be asked to pay a deposit. The hospital fixes the amount of this deposit itself, while having to respect the following maximums:
For a shared room with two beds, this cannot exceed 150 euros for ordinary policyholders. For dependents, it cannot exceed 75 euros and for beneficiaries of the increased intervention and their dependents, this amount is reduced to 50 euros.
For the patient hospitalised in a private room, an additional deposit not exceeding 7 times the room supplement may be requested.
A further deposit may be requested at the start of each new 7-day period.
