As part of third-party payment, you only pay the part for which you are responsible (co-payment and any supplements) of the fees for medical services.

The balance is then paid directly by your health insurance company to the healthcare provider.

Third-party payment is either optional (at the doctor’s, at the dentist’s, the speech therapist’s, etc.) or compulsory (for example at the hospital for hospitalisation, at the pharmacy, at the doctor’s if you benefit from the Supplemented Refunds).

What should you do?

At the healthcare provider (for whom the application of third-party payment is optional), let them know that you would like to benefit from it.

If you are a beneficiary of Supplemented Refunds and in the event of a consultation at his practice, your doctor cannot refuse to apply the third-party payment.

For identification and correct application of third-party payment by the healthcare provider, please always bring your identity card with you!
