A student can benefit from Mutas intervention under several conditions, (s)he must:
- Benefit from family allowances from Belgian social security and provide proof if the request is necessary;
- Present a certificate from an approved establishment in the country in question before or on the date of departure;
- Study in one of the following countries :
- EEA (European Economic Area) ;
- United Kingdom ;
- Switzerland
The duration of coverage for a student extends to one full year (renewable).
Internships as part of studies are also covered under the same conditions mentioned above with a limit of coverage which extends to 12 months (non-renewable).
